Dota 2 in Ubuntu 16.04





Steps : - 
1. install Ubuntu 
2. upgrade packages
3. setup drivers
4. install steam
5. install dota
6. check load which playing Dota 2


Install Ubuntu - 
Create bootable pendrive using any windows software like rufus. link below : 
let me know in the comment section if you want to know how to create bootable pendrive for Ubuntu.
Now attach to your computer and goes to BIOS setting to boot using pendrive.
first click on install Ubuntu -
after install, it will ask you if you want to download third packages or want to update. In my case, i just continue without checking.

after that, we have two option in which we allow Ubuntu erase all data and fresh install the Ubuntu or we can setup something else. 
In my case, i choose "Erase disk and install Ubuntu" and install now

now set geographical  location of your system and continue,






Now fill details like giving username, password  and then continue,

it will take around 15-20 min to install Ubuntu software in your system,

after fresh installation we need to setup network,


now we need to update the Ubuntu software

Installation of steam in Ubuntu :
first we need to install Steam package in Ubuntu,

it will take some times and ask for licence, we  need to setup and accept the licence,


after licence agreement, it will take some times,
after installation go to search bar and type steam, you can see steam icon in the search bar

after that it will sync and download some files,

it will download and updating steam files and it will take few moment ( depending upon your internet speed ),
now if we easy way to access steam file, we need to " lock the steam in launcher"

if steam closes automatically, don't reopen it. actually is taking some times to initiate some program.
after that you can see the steam application running,

you can create new account or login to an existing account,

after giving details to steam applcation, it will take few moments to initiate the program

you can see that it already showing "Dota 2" game because of my configration, otherwise you can go to store and search for Dota 2 game,

Now installation procedure is same as windows steam applcation,

it will take some good time to fetching data from internet,

Now, if you have any graphic card like "nvidia" 
go to search bar and search for drivers and change monitor setting to your graphic card,


now after installation, 
we can see that "Dota 2" icon in the Desktop and we can also search in search bar.

now open Dota 2 and check wheather your system is compatible for Dota 2 or not.


press the play button and wait for game to load,

now if you want to put in full resolution,
go to video setting and select use my current monitor resolution,

if you want to control your application you can use "alt" key to navigate different application and you can also double click the application icon to show.
